English for Young Adult













What is Young Adult English?________________________________
English for Young Adults is a course specially designed to suit students between the ages of 14 to 18 years old. The program aims to develop students’ language proficiency to an internationally recognized standard provided by Cambridge ESOL Examinations.

Level & term_____________________________________________

There are four levels for young adults, which are Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, and also the Upper Intermediate. At all level YA student’s handbook is adapted from the Opportunities and the curriculum spans over three 20-meeting intensive terms each providing students with 30 hours of lessons with main features as follows;

- 60 intensive contact meetings divided into 3 terms

- 90 minute lesson for each contact meeting

The students will also find that the materials in Briton are relevant to the national schools’ curriculum which will assist them in their national or final examinations.



Teaching Method__________________________________________

Here in Briton, students are provided with a stimulating environment which gives confidence to the students to learn English in an interactive classroom atmosphere. Students’ success in learning is supported by first-class learning facilities and qualified human resources. Internationally-qualified English teachers, who are certified with CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adult) are available to help students in the learning process. Our friendly and professional staffs are also on-hand to assist students in finding information while encouraging them to make use of all of the learning facilities provided.

Cambridge ‘CAE’ Certificate in Advanced English_________________

The Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) is the fourth level of Cambridge ESOL Exam. It is an advanced exam, which recognizes the ability to communicate with confidence in English and deal with most aspects of everyday life. CAE test has five components: Reading, Writing, English in use, Listening & Speaking.
